Entry level courses
English and Maths courses begin at our basic level. They cover situations you would find in everyday life. Like counting money, reading a bus timetable and writing emails.
These courses are a great starting point to getting a qualification.

English Functional Skills
Want to build your confidence using English in everyday life? Want to gain a qualification in English? This course teaches skills you'll use every day, including reading, writing and speaking. You’ll be able to complete homework, carry out research using the internet. And write sentences with correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.
This course will help you get a qualification in English. Great if you need it for work or to take up another course. You’ll also be able to build your confidence, develop study and work skills. And even help your children with their homework.
This course is available to all, free of charge.
Maths Functional Skills
Get the Maths skills you need with our Functional Skills course. Learn about place value and how to solve problems using simple formulas. Develop your skills in reading, writing and comparing numbers. Along the way, you’ll complete homework tasks and get a folder of work to help with revision. You will also build the skills you need to get a qualification.
This course will give you skills for work or further study. Including vocational courses. You’ll gain confidence on this course and will be able to help your children with their Maths homework. You could also gain a functional skills qualification in Maths.
