License a venue for marriage and civil partnership ceremonies
Any venue used to perform civil marriages and the registration of civil partnerships must be approved by the Local Authority. This is stated under the Marriages and Civil Partnerships (Approved Premises) Regulations 2005.

How to make an application

Public Register of Approved Venues
You can view the Public Register of Approved Premises Approved Venues Public Register online. Alternatively, a public register of all approved premises is held at Pontefract Registration Office. This is available for inspection during office hours. Please see our Contact Us page for our opening hours.
