Culture Grants Medium

Medium grants support up to £5,000. They are open to applications from individuals, charities, CICs, and other organisations to support medium-scale creative, cultural and heritage activities. Constituted community groups are not eligible to apply.

Applications must respond to one of the three Culture Grants 2026 themes – Creative Wellbeing, Creativity and Nature, and New Creative Work. These themes are outlined fully in the application guidance.

These grants can support as match funding towards a larger grant application to a local, regional, or national funder.

Medium grant application deadlines are:

  • Round 1 – Monday 13 April 2026
  • Round 2 - Monday 13 July 2026

Decisions will be announced 8 weeks after each deadline, followed by a 2-week period for contracting and finance arrangements. Please note that this could mean up to 10 weeks between application and a project beginning.

Applications will only be accepted via the application form for the relevant grant strand (word document or e-form). We do not accept supplementary documents or files alongside your application form.

Project reporting

All supported Culture Grants Medium projects will need to complete an interim report 30% of the way through. They will also submit an evaluation form at the end of the project.
