Culture Grants Connecting Communities

Culture Grants Connecting Communities are awards of up to £15,000. They are open to applications from large scale, established cultural or heritage organisations which are registered charities. They must be a not-for-profit and whose net earnings may not lawfully inure to the benefit of any private shareholder, member or individual. Culture Grants Connecting Communities are expected to support increased local community reach and impact of existing cultural activity in Wakefield district.

How does my organisation apply?

There is one round only for Connecting Communities Grants:

Applicants must submit an initial Expression of Interest (EOI) by 5pm, Monday 9 March 2026. This should be a maximum of 2-sides of an A4. Confirmation of eligibility will be assessed alongside the EOI.

We will confirm if the EOI can then be progressed into a full application submission. The deadline for the full application is 5pm, Monday 30 March 2026

This grant process will be competitive. Applicants should only apply for the upper ends of the funding scale if you believe you can demonstrate that your proposal provides significant impact.
