To report a dead animal you will need to tell us:

  • the type of animal that needs to be removed wild, domestic, or farm
  • the exact location of the dead animal
  • additional details of the animal (if it is a missing domestic pet, is it chipped, identifying features)

To report a dead animal either on the public highway or any public open land, please call 0345 8 506 506

That way we can respond quickly to your request.

This is a free service.

Please do not put dead animals in your household waste bin. If you have a pet that has died, take it to your vet.

Have we collected a missing pet?

We respond to requests to collect dead domestic pets from the public highway and public open land. You may, unfortunately, want to call and ask us if we have collected yours, if it is missing.

Please contact us, your enquiry will be sympathetically handled.
