Opportunity to share views on parks and green spaces
Wednesday, July 24, 2024
Residents are being asked to share their views about their local parks and green spaces to help shape how they can be improved for the benefit of the community.
The survey will run from Friday 26 July – Friday 20 September.
“We want our parks and outside spaces to be places people can be proud of and enjoy. We have invested in various improvement projects following feedback received from previous surveys carried out.
“I would encourage everyone to complete this year’s survey, so we can better understand how you use your local park and what new facilities or improvements you would like to see there.”
Cllr Jack Hemingway
Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment and Climate Change

Wakefield Council carries out a park users survey every year to understand how local communities use their parks, how satisfied they are and what improvements they would like to see.
People are encouraged to share their thoughts, ideas and opinions on their local park and suggest ways in which it could be improved.
The Council understands the importance of parks and the key role they play in helping to keep residents active, healthy and happy.
Last year over 1,630 residents completed the survey and their responses fed into the Council’s plans and priorities for parks and green spaces.
