A work experience placement at Wakefield Council could be the perfect opportunity for you!

What we offer:

Flexible placement options

We aim to match your placement to your career and learning goals.

Most placements last 1 or 2 weeks. But, if that is not right for you, we’ll try to help if you would like:

  • a longer placement
  • a shorter shadowing opportunity
  • a virtual meeting with an officer from a service area you are interested in

How to apply

Please apply at least 8 weeks before your start date. This gives us time to plan your placement.

Who can apply?

  • students aged 14 and above, including college and university
  • adults looking to explore new career paths or return to work
