Be the inspiration for future social care workers
The I care... Ambassador programme offers an opportunity for passionate adult social care professionals to inspire others to join the sector.
Come and help us spread the word!
What is the I care... Ambassador programme?
Our Ambassadors attend events such as recruitment fairs and school presentations. They talk about their roles, share their experiences and raise awareness of what it’s like to work in adult social care.
They have recently attended events at various locations, including Airedale Academy, Outwood Academy, Trinity Academy and Leeds University.
Who can become an I care…Ambassador?
Anyone who works in the adult care sector can become an Ambassador. You don’t have to be a front-line worker. Our Ambassadors come from a variety of roles, including admin, business support and management.
What matters most is your enthusiasm for your work and your willingness to inspire others by sharing that passion.
If that sounds like you, get in touch!
Why should I become an I care... Ambassador?
Our Ambassadors enjoy:
- being part of a close, supportive network of adult social care professionals
- developing their own skills - improving their public speaking, mentoring, and leadership abilities
- playing a key role in recruiting talent into the sector
New Ambassadors are invited to our quarterly engagement sessions and all Ambassadors are able to attend our quarterly digest meetings.
These are ideal opportunities to meet like-minded professionals, talk about your experiences in a safe space, reflect on the great work you do day-to-day, share successes and discuss ways to encourage others to join the sector.
Let’s celebrate the difference we make, and invite others to make it too.

The I care... Ambassador programme provides me with the opportunity to inspire the future workforce. Being a part of the programme gives me the opportunity to share my passion for the sector, be out and about in the community and make a difference!

What will I do as an I care…Ambassador?
As an Ambassador:
- you will help us to inspire the future generation
- you can expect to take part in events such as school presentations, college assemblies, class talks and career events
- you should try to attend at least two a year. This will help you to keep your knowledge up to date and your Ambassador status active
- you will provide a first-hand, current, positive picture of what it’s like to work in care
- sharing your real-life experiences, and promoting caring careers honestly, impartially and professionally
- we will work closely with you to prepare for each event and will provide you with all the resources you’ll need
- you will provide feedback, so the I care…Ambassador team can assess the success of the event and can continue making improvements to help you
- you should get approval from your manager or employer and agree your commitment with them
- some of the events may be during work time, others may be out of work hours
