It is an offence to make a false statement which carries an unlimited fine.

If you would like to make to an application please use the Making a representation to a licence application form.
Representations must relate to the four licensing objectives, these are:

  • prevention of crime and disorder
  • public safety
  • prevention of public nuisance
  • protection of children from harm

Applications may be inspected at the licensing office between 8:30am and 5pm. The licensing register may be inspected online, find more information on our page here.

It is an offence to, knowingly or recklessly, make a false statement in connection with an application.

The maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction is £5000.
