The BIG Wonders of Wakefield Bike Ride at Pugneys Country Park

Get ready for an exhilarating day of cycling adventures at The BIG Wonders of Wakefield Bike Ride on Sunday, 4 August, at Pugneys Country Park!

Explore the Wonders of Wakefield cycle route with seven different ride distances ranging from 4 to 21 miles.

Each ride will include a 30-minute break at stunning landmarks such as Sandal Castle, Newmillerdam, and The Hepworth, providing a perfect blend of exercise and sightseeing along scenic, mainly off-road routes.

Special Activities:

Adapted Cycles: Experience Community offers a variety of adapted cycles.
Tandem Rides: Open Country provides tandem rides for those with visual impairments and/or learning difficulties.
Bike registration: Get your bike tagged and recorded on the national Bike Register system for free.

11:00 AM - 2:30 PM: Full 21-mile Ride WoW
11:30 AM - 1:40 PM: 7-mile Ride to Newmillerdam
12:00 PM - 3:00 PM: 14-mile Ride to Nostell Priory
12:30 PM - 2:30 PM: 8-mile Ride to Heath Common
1:00 PM - 2:15 PM: 5-mile Ride to Sandal Castle
