Talking Transport: Share your views and shape the Weaver Network

Wednesday, June 25, 2025

Come along to a Talking Transport meeting at Lock Lane Sports Centre, Castleford on Monday 21 July (5pm-7pm). Share your thoughts, ask questions and hear the latest news about transport plans for your area.

We know that some places are harder or more expensive to get to than they should be. Travel information and fares are too complicated as well. Working in partnership with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, we are committed to improving transport for everyone no matter where you live.

Our vision is to build the Weaver Network, creating a better-connected region that supports inclusive economic growth. We also know the decisions we make about how we travel will help us create a cleaner, greener region. We want to hear about travel experiences from across the region to help inform decision-making.

Talking Transport meetings are led by local Councillors who have responsibility for transport.

The meetings are organised by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority with support from the West Yorkshire local authorities. (Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield).

Meetings take place twice a year, bringing together people who shape the way transport works in your area. You’ll get to hear what is being done to improve transport, locally and across West Yorkshire, and to ask questions and share your experiences.

If you’d like to join us, please let us know in any of the following ways:
