Our registrars are here to support you through one of life’s most special moments, and we’ve improved our website to make it all a bit easier.  

The new webpages were launched to mark National Registrars Day on 1 July, which was specially chosen in honour of the first day of registration in 1837 to recognise and celebrate the efforts of all registration service employees. 

Our Registration and Celebratory Service is available Monday to Saturday and can help you with registering births, deaths and marriages, producing copy certificates and managing the administration associated with ceremonies. As well as the delivery of our Celebratory Services including, marriages, civil partnerships, renewal of vows and naming ceremonies.  

Wakefield Registration and Celebratory Services officiate 1,200 ceremonies per year within our 21 wonderful venues which are approved for marriages and civil partnerships. Visit our website to find out more about each of our venues.

As well as responding to customer feedback to improve our website, we also wanted to celebrate what our customers tell us we do so very well. We now have our Happy Couples page dedicated to show everyone what a fantastic service we offer.
