Event in Pontefract to support people’s careers and wellbeing

Step Up, Wakefield Council’s flagship employment and skills service, is holding an event to support people’s careers and wellbeing.
The ‘Winter Wellbeing Event‘ includes advice and help with everything from health and quitting smoking, general wellbeing, healthy eating and sustainable living. To debt, financial advice, energy efficiency and cost of living advice. As well as free impartial information on getting into work, returning to work, or even starting your own business.
“Our specialist Step Up team provides free one-to-one support to help our residents find work, develop skills and get on in their careers.
“At this event we’ll also have a range of other services and charities all under one roof who will be able to help you become a healthier you.”

The event will be held on Friday 4 October, 10am to 2pm, at Pontefract Library.
All residents aged 16 or over are welcome and you can just turn up.
Those attending alongside the Step Up team will include:
• The Stroke Association
• Money Smart
• The Energy Team
• Savvy Savings
• The NHS
• The Department of Work and Pensions
