Authority Monitoring Reports

Authority Monitoring Reports (AMRs) are produced annually to assess how well the policies in the Wakefield District Local Plan are performing. They provide transparency on whether the Local Plan is delivering its objectives for sustainable development, housing, employment, infrastructure, and environmental protection.
Each report:

  • monitors progress against the Local Development Scheme (the timetable for plan-making)
  • evaluates policy effectiveness and identifies if updates are needed
  • tracks key indicators such as housing delivery, employment land supply, biodiversity net gain, and infrastructure contributions

The latest report covers 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025:

A Five-Year Housing Land Supply Statement has been released alongside the AMR and is available: Housing Land Supply Assessments
