What happened during Get Online Week 2025

Local organisations took part in our 2025 campaign, helping people develop their digital skills and confidence. Here are some examples of the difference they made.

BHA for Equality: Wakefield Digital Inclusion Session

BHA for Equality delivered a digital inclusion session for people living with HIV. The session helped participants build their digital skills and confidence while providing opportunities for peer support and social connection.

Reflections CIC: Getting Online Initiative

Reflections CIC delivered a series of daily digital support sessions based on each person's individual needs and goals. This meant people received practical support that was relevant to them.

"The event was well received, with participants valuing the opportunity to discuss the barriers they face in accessing healthcare and digital services, both with our team and with one another. The session also helped strengthen social connections, contributing to improved wellbeing and a greater sense of community."

"All participants reported feeling more confident using their devices to access NHS services. They also expressed that additional sessions would further develop their skills and confidence."

Jeni, BHA

One participant received support from a BHA support worker to download and log in to the NHS App. By the end of the session, they felt more confident using the app independently to manage their health.

"We supported five clients to set up email accounts for the first time and helped three clients register for online banking services. Participants also gained confidence in using computers, many of whom had little or no previous experience."

"Having access to email has opened up new opportunities for our clients, including access to online banking and other digital services. As a result, they have become more confident using computers and mobile devices in everyday life."

Georgia, Reflections Yorkshire CIC

Reflections CIC also helped people set up online Universal Credit accounts. This meant they could find information and manage their claims online instead of relying on the phone.

This saved them time and helped them feel more confident using online services independently.
