Ask for Angela

Feeling threatened or unsafe? On a date that isn’t working out? Or does it all just feel a bit weird? Ask for Angela in participating venues across the Wakefield district.

Staff will then know you want discreet help and can assist you without fuss by for example:

  • calling and helping you to a taxi
  • providing a safe space
  • reuniting you with a friend
  • calling venue security and/or the police if needed and safe to do so

Working in partnership with West Yorkshire Police, we’ve ensured that staff at participating venues are trained to help you out of your situation without judgement so you can continue to enjoy your time and most importantly stay safe.

So, if you need help to get out of your situation, just speak out.
