How to get to Sandal Castle

Sandal Castle is a 10-minute walk from the nearest bus stop and a 20-minute walk from Sandal and Agbrigg Railway Station. For details about local buses and trains please see Metro.

By Car and Coach:
Easily accessible from the M1 via Junction 39 and along the A636 and A6186. Use WF2 7DS in your sat nav. Get directions with Google Maps
Please note: the access road is a narrow residential street, making it tricky for coaches and large vehicles. There is no room to pull over or drop off. We do not have any coach parking in our car park.
You could use Sandal and Agbrigg train station car park to drop off, which is a 0.7-mile walk to Sandal Castle. (Coaches cannot park at Sandal and Agbrigg train station)
Parking
Sandal Castle has a small car park with limited spaces. Parking is free.
Please do not park along the road to Sandal Castle as this prevents access for emergency vehicles.
The car park is open:
9am to 5:30pm (October to March)
9am to 7:45pm (April to September)
Please note that cars will be locked in at closing time and a fee may be payable for release.
