Toddler Tuesdays

Join Charlie Bear for a lively session of storytelling, crafts and rhymes! Sessions run every Tuesday in term time, from 10am to 11am.

We’ll be inspired by museum objects and a different theme each month. These sessions are specially designed for ages 2 to 5.

Making their mark

Alice Gostick was an influential art teacher from Castleford. She sparked a passion for pottery painting across the country. Talented local craftswomen followed her example. Together they established Castleford's proud tradition of hand decorating ceramics.

Reight Neet Aht

Explore the surprising story of this special event. Castleford held a yearly marbles competition from 1936-1958 called Reight Neet Aht. Lots of famous people attended over the years. It raised money for good causes.
