A personal assistant (or PA for short) is a paid carer who is employed directly by a disabled person who needs support to live independently.

Want a more supported route into Adult Social Care, with a guaranteed interview for a position?
The Make A Difference Programme offers a comprehensive foundation in essential care skills to support you into a career in the Adult Social Care. Wakefield Cares Careers Hub are committed to your success and cover the cost of your training, qualifications and DBS check.
Meaning that you are fully equipped to begin your career in Adult Social Care on completion of the programme. You will gain hands-on experience through a 30-hour work placement with a care provider within the district. Plus, a guaranteed interview after completing your placement!
