Before you start your request
We assess each grit bin request at the end of the gritting season. If your request qualifies, your grit bin will be in place from next year.
You can buy salt/grit from DIY stores in the absence of a nearby grit bin.
You will need to tell us:
- Where the grit bin is that needs refilling

If you wish to request a grit bin refill, please fill in our online form, you will receive an application number. If you provide us with an email address an automated confirmation of your request will be sent to you.
