Community grants for climate activity scheme
Grants are available to help communities become greener, cleaner and healthier.
The Mayor of West Yorkshire and Wakefield Council are working together on a scheme to provide grants for climate activity.
Funding of between £5,000 and £50,000 will be available for projects that:
- support renewable energy production
- help make buildings more energy efficient
- help more people to walk, cycle and use public transport
- protect nature and biodiversity
Wakefield Council is working with Nova Wakefield District - the support agency for voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations - to distribute the funding.
