Crisis and Resilience Fund

The government has provided new funding to support people who are in financial crisis.

This new fund is called the Crisis and Resilience Fund. It is intended to help people cope with a sudden, unexpected expense or loss of income. And also help build longer term financial resilience. This funding has replaced the current Household Support Fund, which ended on 31 March 2026.

The fund covers Housing Payment which replaces Discretionary Housing Payments.

Applications can be made by residents, or by representatives acting with the resident’s consent.
