WFConnect Cafés

What are WFConnect Cafés?

WFConnect Cafés are spaces that have been set up in community buildings across the district. They are there to support children, young people, and their families to get online.

At each café there are computers, tablets, and internet access available.

What can I use them for?

The WFConnect Cafés are here to help ensure everyone has access to technology and the internet.

This may mean using the cafés as a place to do homework, connect with friends. You can also discover support around employment, housing, health, and budgets.

They can also be used just for internet access to browse appropriate content online.

Some of the venues will have additional support and help on offer. For more information about what's on offer at your local café, please contact us.

Other ways to get connected

How can I tether my data from a mobile phone to another device?

You can use your phone's mobile data to connect another phone, tablet, gaming device, or computer to the internet. Sharing a connection this way is called tethering or using a hotspot. Some phones can share Wi-Fi connection by tethering.

What if I don't have access to data or broadband?

The Good things Foundation is supporting families with access to data to support devices that you may have.

For more information on how to access data please contact Wakefield Library:

There is also access to devices, and free wi-fi available at WFConnect Cafés across the district.
