Medical sharps bin collection
Please note that you must arrange your first collection through your GP, this form can only be used to request further collections. If you have not arranged an initial collection through your GP we will not be able to process your request.
Sharps bins are used for disposing of hypodermic needles. Needles with pre-dispensed medication inside can be taken if they are empty. We cannot collect medicines as we are not licensed to carry them. Please take unwanted or out of date medicines to your local pharmacy.
You will need to tell us:
- if you've had or asked for a sharps bin collection before
- how many sharps bins need to be collected or delivered
- the exact location the sharps bin needs to be collected from/delivered to
On the day of collection or exchange, the sharps bin must be locked and placed at the collection point before 7am.
