Safe Places for people with learning disabilities and autism

The Safe Places Scheme will help you to feel safe when you are out and about in town and where you live.

We are asking shops, bus stations and other businesses to put a 'Safe Places' sticker in their window.

What do I do if I don't feel safe?

If you are lost, feel unwell or you are being bullied, you can go to a shop or business with the 'Safe Places' sticker in the window.

Show a shop assistant your 'Safe Places' card and they will help you.

If you can't find a place with the 'Safe Places' sticker, you can call:

Wakefield Council on 0345 850 3503

or

Call the Police on 101 (or in an emergency you can call 999.)
