This autumn, Wakefield Exchange is bringing an electrifying mix of music, culture, and immersive experiences to Wakefield.
From internationally acclaimed artists to high-energy parties, the season promises something special for everyone to enjoy.
“Although the summer might be over, WX is still packed with lots of different events and seasonal celebrations to enjoy this Autumn.
“So why not grab some friends and come along and enjoy a day or night at this fabulous venue.”
Cllr Hannah Appleyard
Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Sport

Kicking off the season in style, WX will host its very own free Oktoberfest, a two-night celebration on 3 and 4 October. Night one brings the riotous fun of The Pub Choir Party, with live music leading a full-throttle singalong packed with anthems from Queen, Bon Jovi, Oasis and more. The following night, The Classic Oompah Bash delivers traditional Bavarian brass and lederhosen flair with The Oktoberfest Band.
On 11 October, WX pays tribute to one of the UK’s most iconic underground music movements with Northern Soul: Keeping the Faith. Tickets are now on sale for this all-day event featuring an all-star DJ line-up spinning 100% original vinyl, including scene legends Kev Roberts, Steve Luigi, and Ozz Osborne. Live on stage, powerhouse vocalist Johnny Boy Pryers will deliver a set of Northern Soul favourites guaranteed to get the crowd moving.
WX is thrilled to present Corinne Bailey Rae live on 18 October. The Grammy-winning artist, known for her soulful hits Put Your Records On and Like A Star, headlines the pilot concert of the new WX Live series bringing world-class live music experiences to the city.
On 31 October, WX hosts a free Day of the Dead Party, a vibrant celebration of life, music, and colour. Live mariachi band Beato Burrito will bring a Latin twist to pop and rock favourites, while free sugar skull face painting adds a festive flair to the evening.
As the nights draw in, WX invites audiences to set sail on a free musical voyage with the Sea Shanty Party on 7 November. Featuring the rich harmonies of Kimbers Men and the high-octane energy of rising folk stars Jack Tars. Expect roaring vocals, crisp fiddle lines, and foot-stomping rhythms in a night that channels the spirit of the high seas.
