Wakefield local election results 2024

Wakefield Council remains in overall Labour control following the results of the 2024 local council elections.

Following today’s results, the new political make-up of the Council is as follows:

Labour 56 seats
Conservative 3 seats
Liberal Democrat 3 seats
Independent 1 seat

The overall turnout was 24.94%. The turnout in the last local elections in 2023 was 24.95%.
