Wakefield Council launches Autumn Winter Planner

Wakefield Council has unveiled its new Autumn Winter Planner, giving residents and visitors a ready-made guide to seasonal events, activities and days out across the district throughout the autumn and winter months.
The planner brings together a wide range of events and experiences taking place from October through to February, helping people discover what's on across Wakefield's towns, villages and visitor attractions.
"As the seasons change, there are still plenty of fantastic things to see and do across our district. Our Autumn Winter Planner brings together a wide range of events and activities to help people make the most of the months ahead.
"Whether you're looking for family-friendly Halloween fun, festive celebrations, creative workshops, seasonal trails or cultural experiences. The planner is packed with ideas to inspire great days out throughout autumn and winter. And it’s a great opportunity to visit our city and towns and support local businesses in the busy run-up to Christmas.”

The planner aims to make it easier than ever for residents and visitors to discover what is happening across the district, while continuing to support local attractions, venues, cultural organisations and community spaces.
Highlights include seasonal family events, Halloween activities, festive light switch-ons, Christmas markets, winter trails, exhibitions, performances and hands-on workshops taking place at museums, libraries, galleries and visitor attractions across the district.
The planner highlights a snapshot of events happening right across Wakefield district, from city centre venues and local communities to parks, heritage attractions and cultural destinations. Printed copies will be available from Council libraries, museums, community centres, family hubs and other public venues across the district from mid-October.
