Recycle Week 2025

It’s Recycle Week and we are working with Biffa and Recycle Now encouraging households to check they are recycling correctly.

Whilst 88% of households across the UK regularly recycle, many are still unsure of what can and can’t be recycled.  Which means many items are getting binned instead of recycled.

This year, clean shampoo bottles and foil join last year’s list of recyclable items that are regularly missed:

•  Trigger sprays
•   Aerosols
•   Aftershave and perfume bottles
• Toilet roll tubes

Top tips for recycling

• For items that can be recycled, remember: Empty it. Rinse it. Recycle it.
• Donate your unwanted or old clothes to give them a second life, never bin them.
• Make sure to recycle unwanted electrical items at our electrical recycling points.
