We’re hosting a Recruitment Open Day for anybody interested in joining the Council’s parking services team.
We have six Civil Enforcement Officer roles available. The recruitment event will take place on Wednesday 29 July at 3pm at Wakefield Town Hall.

Civil Enforcement Officers are responsible for the monitoring and control of on and off-street parking throughout the district. Enforcing parking legislation. And assisting in the detection and enforcement of moving traffic offences.
You will play a vital role in keeping traffic moving, improving road safety, protecting access for all road users and supporting local communities across the district. We're seeking confident, customer-focused individuals with strong communication skills, a professional attitude and a passion for serving their local community. You'll be comfortable using technology, working independently, making evidence-based decisions and dealing positively with a variety of situations whilst helping to improve road safety and parking compliance across the district.
Our Civil Enforcement Officers use modern technology and digital systems every day, including handheld enforcement devices and body worn video cameras. As part of a forward-thinking service, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to our future ambitions, including the introduction of wider enforcement technologies.
