Drainage repairs have taken place on Flounders Hill in Ackworth to help surface water drain away more effectively.

Meanwhile, on Orchard Drive, the team has completed carriageway resurfacing providing a smoother road surface for residents and other road users.

As well as this, 6 metres of pedestrian guard railing has been replaced on Barnsley Road, helping to keep the footway safe and well maintained for pedestrians.

In Airedale, the team has completed footway patching to repair areas affected by tree heave. The work has created a smoother surface for pedestrians.

We've had a busy programme of highways maintenance in Castleford with improvements to roads, footways and verges across the area.

On Back Richmond Street, carriageway patching has been completed, while the carriageway on Green Lane has been reshaped. A trial hole has also been carried out on Aire Street to investigate a void in the carriageway.

Footway improvements include resurfacing on Barnsdale Estate, as well as surfacing and channel works on Lincoln Street. A new bench has also been installed on Beancroft Road.

To complete the works, fencing has been replaced on the verge along Bridge Street, helping to keep the area safe and well maintained.

In Crofton, the team has completed carriageway patching on High Street, repairing worn areas and helping to provide a safer road surface for road users.

As part of Public Rights of Way (PROW) works, the team has carried out improvements to the footpath between Durkar Low Lane and Standbridge Lane. The work will help keep the route safe and in good condition for people using the footpath.

On Denby Dale Road, the team has replaced fencing and three posts along the verge. The work helps keep the roadside safe, tidy and well maintained.

In Featherstone, the team has completed a range of highway improvements. In Purston Jaglin, carriageway patching has been carried out on Hartley Terrace in helping to repair worn areas of the road. And on Beech Tree Road, the carriageway and crossings have been resurfaced to provide improved surfaces for drivers and pedestrians.

The team has also replaced two metres of pedestrian guard railing on Station Road, helping to keep the footway safe and well maintained.

In Ferrybridge the team has completed footway patching on Arncliffe Drive, repairing worn areas and helping to provide a smoother and safer surface for pedestrians.

In Hemsworth, the team has completed carriageway resurfacing on Sycamore Road following damage caused by a car fire, restoring the road surface and making it safer for road users.

We've completed a range of highways maintenance works in Horbury. Drainage repairs have been carried out on Jenkin Road, helping surface water drain away more effectively.

On Sunroyd Hill, footway patching has been completed to address grounding issues and provide a smoother surface for pedestrians.

The team has also carried out repairs on Northfield Lane, resetting and repointing the stone wall and copings to keep the area safe and well maintained.

To improve the condition of the road on Racca Avenue in Knottingley, the team has completed carriageway resurfacing. The work provides a more durable surface for all.

On Dewsbury Road, four metres of pedestrian guard railing has been replaced, helping to keep the footway safe.

On Manor Haigh Road, verge hardening works have been carried out to strengthen the verge and improve its condition.

Our team has carried out carriageway and footway resurfacing on Cross Road in Middlestown to improve the road condition.

In Newmillerdam, the team has undertaken drainage repairs on Lodge Lane, helping surface water drain away more effectively.

On Barnsley Road, potholes have been filled using road planings, helping to improve the condition of the carriageway and provide a smoother surface for drivers.

As part of our Public Rights of Way (PROW) works, improvements have been carried out on Footpath 17, helping to keep the route safe and in good condition for people using it.

Our teams were hard at work in Ossett last month, completing a range of improvements to roads, footways and verges.

On Manor Road in South Ossett, the team replaced a speed hump on the carriageway and carried out repairs to a wall alongside the footway.

Footway patching and bollard works were completed on Fairfield Road, with further footway patching and kerbing improvements on Park Gardens.

On Dale Street, a bollard was replaced to help keep the footway safe and well maintained.

To finish the works, the team repaired the fencing on Fairfield Road to provide safe conditions for all.

In Outwood, a number of roads have received footway slurry surfacing, helping to improve the condition of the footpaths and protect them from further wear.

Works have been completed on Brackenwood Road, Briarwood Close, Grangewood Court, Meadow Croft, Meadowcroft Close, Meadow Vale and Thistlewood Road.

On Meadowcroft Road the team also carried out carriageway surfacing and crossing works.

These improvements help to extend the life of the roads and provide a better surface for residents and road users.

In Pontefract the team has completed a wide range of highways improvements.

On Friarwood, the pedestrian crossing has been refurbished, helping to keep the crossing safe and in good condition.

Carriageway patching has been completed on Dulverton Rise, Mill Lane in Old Snydale and New Road in Old Snydale. On Back Lane in Badsworth, carriageway patching and kerbing works have also taken place.

Footway resurfacing has been carried out on Long Crest and St Ives Close, while tactile paving and kerbs have been relaid on Wakefield Road.

On Station Lane, two bollards have been replaced, helping to keep the footway safe.

Finally, the verge on Long Crest in Chequerfield has been made safe and levelled, improving the condition of the area.

In South Kirkby, the team has completed drainage repairs on Northfield Lane, helping to keep the drainage system in good condition.

In Stanley, new extra-low-voltage, energy-efficient traffic signals have been installed on the Shuttle Bridge at Stanley Ferry, helping to modernise the signals and reduce energy use.

On Lime Pit Lane, the team has also completed footway patching, improving the surface conditions for pedestrians.

Over in Thornes, the team has completed a range of works to improve local roads.

Carriageway patching on Gill Sike Road has repaired worn areas of the road, while Thornleigh Drive has been resurfaced to provide a smoother surface.

On Thornleigh Road, carriageway surfacing and crossing works have also been completed, improving the road and crossing points for drivers and pedestrians.

On Grosvenor Avenue, carriageway works have been carried out to re-level the road surface around the gully, helping surface water drain away more effectively.

On Rose Avenue, the team has completed footway resurfacing, providing an improved surface for pedestrians.

In Wakefield, the team has completed a wide range of works to improve roads, footways and drainage across the area.

On Mill Chase Road, a red speed ramp has been replaced with a natural-coloured one, helping it better fit with the surrounding area.

Footway patching has been carried out on Pinder's Grove in Pinders Heath, while a bollard has been replaced on Haveroid Lane in Painthorpe, Crigglestone.

The team has also repaired a sinkhole on the footway on Denby Dale Road in Calder Grove and completed drainage repairs on College Grove Road, helping surface water drain away more effectively.
