Inclusive cycling at Rycroft Leisure Centre

A brand-new adapted wheelchair bike has arrived at Rycroft Leisure Centre to help even more people experience the joy and benefits of cycling.
The new bike has been specially built in the Netherlands and funded by West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s Consolidated Active Travel Fund. It will support the centre's popular inclusive cycling sessions.

“So, I’m really pleased that we have been able to provide this new adapted bike to allow even more people in our district to enjoy the benefits of cycling.”

Rycroft has a strong track record of delivering adapted cycling opportunities, with demand for wheelchair bikes continuing to grow. The addition of this new bike will increase capacity, allowing more people with mobility challenges to get active, enjoy the outdoors, and take part in cycling alongside friends, family, and carers.
The new adaptive bike will make physical activity accessible for everyone and create more opportunities for people of all abilities to enjoy the benefits of being active.
