Food, Drink and Family Fun coming to Castleford

Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a day of food, drink, entertainment, and family fun at Food Drink Castleford on Saturday 19 September.
Funded by Pride in Place and supported by local restaurants, cafés, bars and independent businesses, the event celebrates everything that makes Castleford a great place to eat, drink, and shop.

This event will showcase some of the town's independent food, drink and hospitality outlets, giving residents and visitors an opportunity to support the local economy. And enjoy a fun day of family-friendly entertainment.

Taking place in Henry Moore Square from 1pm to 9pm, the free event will celebrate everything that makes Castleford a great place to eat, drink and shop.
Rhubarb Radio will be broadcasting live from the square, providing music, entertainment and activities to keep visitors entertained.
There will also be live performances from talented local musicians and entertainers on the Community Stage, along with opportunities to win food and drink-themed spot prizes.
Families can enjoy a range of activities, including small fairground rides, face painting and a balloon artist.
Yorkshire Craft Beers and The Craft Booze Company will be hosting a mini-beer festival in the square, offering visitors an opportunity to discover and sample a variety of locally brewed craft beers.
Castleford market will be providing an expanded market experience, with a special programme of artisan craft stalls joining the market's regular traders for the day.
The event is free to attend, and everyone is welcome. Organisers are encouraging visitors to enjoy the day responsibly and help keep the town centre tidy by using the litter bins provided.
