Active Through Football - Rycroft Hammers
The Active Through Football project is focused on creating new opportunities and activities across the South East of the district. With support from the Active Communities Fund, Rycroft Hammers Rugby Club has been able to grow its offer within the local community, attracting new members and creating more opportunities for people to get active. A key achievement has been the establishment of a new women's section, helping to make rugby more accessible and providing a welcoming environment for women to take part in physical activity, develop new skills, and become part of the club.
"You Do As Much or As Little as You Can" - Women's Fit at Rycroft Hammers
For many women, taking the first step can be the hardest part.
Rycroft Hammers Women's Fit offers a friendly, supportive space where women can get active, meet new people and enjoy being part of something together. It's not about being the fittest or most experienced. It's about having a go, building confidence and supporting each other along the way.
More Than a Rugby Club - Rycroft Hammers' Story
What started as bringing rugby back to the village has become something much bigger.
Rycroft Hammers is helping people get active, build confidence, make friends and feel part of their community. From junior sessions and women's fitness to providing support both on and off the field, the club is bringing people together.
