Parks and Play for All

We believe that play areas are for everyone.

So, before work begins, we talk to local groups and residents. This helps us learn what people want and need. We also use Play England guidance to make play areas welcoming and safe. The equipment supports different abilities.

There are a variety of ways we have made our parks inclusive.

Low level access points

Make it easy for everyone to enter and move around the park. Makes sure everyone is safe and can play independently.

Inclusive springie

The shape helps children get on and off by themselves. Some have open fronts and some have handles. They can simply reverse, sit down, or climb on.

Communications panels

They help children imagine and stay active. They also help children think and learn.
