Support is available from your nearest Help at the Hub on a range of issues including:

  • housing
  • jobs and skills

Friendly staff at the hubs can look at your situation and work with you to find solutions. They'll support you in taking steps to improve things.

Organisations including Wakefield Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) and Step Up  also offer drop-in sessions at the hubs.

Wakefield Citizens Advice Bureau


Wakefield Citizens Advice is a charity that offers free confidential advice by phone, online or in person. You can find them at other locations in the district by visiting  wakefielddistrictcab.co.uk/contact-us/.

Debt Advice

If you're struggling to pay your bills, or you owe money and can't pay it back, don't ignore the problem. Call or visit your local Hub, advisers are on hand to discuss your situation and offer practical support.

A Hub adviser can also refer you to a qualified debt adviser. They can help you find ways to manage debts even if you think you have no spare money. They can also suggest ways to deal with debts that you might not know about.

WDH Cash Wise

Cash Wise is a service available to WDH tenants and families with children under 12. 
The service offers free support and advice to help with financial issues. Helping you to take control of your finances.
