Description: I am sure you will have had many letters, emails and phone calls over the last couple of months from concerned residents and business owners after this sign was fitted. This simple sign has been causing problems and financial costs since it was fitted to an already hard hit area. After reading many reports and replies I believe I have a picture but obviously would like to confirm the facts before taking further action. Please can you confirm the facts surrounding the fitting of this sign? Who fitted the sign? Who instructed the sign to be fitted? Who funded the sign? Does the sign require planning? The sign is fitted on WMDC land. The sign appears to be in the style of WMDC but does not carry the logo of WMDC. Is this an approved WMDC sign? It has been suggested that the sign was requested by the owners of the other half of the car park but wrongly fitted at an incorrect location. Is this correct? Is the information on this sign being implemented by WMDC or ignored? Was this sign fitted by Featherstone Town Council? If the sign has been illegally fitted on WMDC land what steps have been taken to remove it? Is there any correspondence on file at WMDC and FTC regarding the fitting of this sign? Is there currently any process underway to remove the sign?
