Description: I understand that the setting has now ceased operating and that there has been significant public concern regarding the circumstances surrounding its closure. I appreciate that the Council may hold information which is exempt from disclosure where it constitutes personal data or forms part of confidential safeguarding records. I am not seeking any information that would identify any child, parent, member of staff, complainant or witness. Instead, I seek recorded information concerning the Council’s exercise of its statutory safeguarding, early years and regulatory responsibilities. I would therefore be grateful if you could provide the following recorded information: 1. Whether the Council undertook any safeguarding, regulatory or statutory functions in relation to Big Hearts Small Hands Tiney Home Nursery between 1 January 2026 and 1 July 2026. 2. Whether the Council’s Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO), Early Years Service, Children’s Social Care or any other Council department became involved in matters concerning this provider during that period. 3. Whether the Council undertook any enquiries, assessments, visits, reviews or investigations relating to the provider. 4. Whether the Council liaised with or provided information to Ofsted, Tiney Childminder Agency, the Police, NHS organisations or any other safeguarding or regulatory body in relation to this provider. 5. Whether any multi-agency safeguarding or professional meetings were convened concerning the provider. 6. Whether the Council made any recommendations, issued any advice or took any action which resulted in, or contributed to, the provider ceasing to operate. 7. Whether the Council holds any final reports, decision notices, recommendations or recorded outcomes relating to its involvement with the provider that are capable of disclosure following appropriate redaction. 8. Whether any lessons learned, policy reviews or procedural changes were identified by the Council following its involvement with this provider. I understand that some of the requested information may engage exemptions under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. My request is not intended to obtain confidential safeguarding records or personal data. Where exempt information can reasonably be separated from non-exempt information, I request that the exempt material be redacted and the remaining information disclosed.
