Description: Dear FOI Team, I would like to request the following information about services for children and young people aged 5-19 (25 for children with SEND) in Wakefield under the Freedom of Information Act. The Centre for Young Lives, founded by Baroness Anne Longfield CBE in February 2024, is an independent think tank and delivery unit working to improve the lives of children, young people, and families across the UK - with a particular focus on those facing the greatest challenges. We are currently undertaking research into the provision of enrichment activities in schools and communities across the country. Please note that this request is being sent to all upper tier local authorities in England. Question 1: Universal services for children and young people Please provide a breakdown of the expenditure reported under line 3.5.1 in your Section 251 Outturn Statement for 2025/26 (Universal services for children and young people). For each budget heading, programme or service, please include: • Name of the budget heading, programme or service • Expenditure • Whether the service is delivered directly by the local authority or commissioned externally NB. Please do not include your Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme funding in the above breakdown. Question 2: Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme Please provide a breakdown of your HAF Programme expenditure in 2025/26.
