ReachDeck toolbar update

From 14 July 2026, the ReachDeck toolbar will be removed from our websites.
We have made this change after looking at advice from Scope about accessibility.

Scope says that:

  • most web browsers and devices already have accessibility tools built in
  • toolbars do not fix accessibility problems on websites
  • some toolbars can cause problems with other accessibility tools

We believe removing the ReachDeck toolbar is the best choice for our users.

Accessibility tools in your browser

Most web browsers and devices have free accessibility tools.

You can use them to:

  • make text bigger
  • zoom in on web pages
  • change colours and contrast
  • read text aloud
  • use reader mode to make pages easier to read
  • translate text into another language

You can find out more about accessibility tools in:

Microsoft Edge

Google Chrome and other Google products

Mozilla Firefox

Apple devices

Our commitment to accessibility

Removing the ReachDeck toolbar does not change our commitment to accessibility.

We will continue to:

  • follow accessibility standards
  • check our websites for issues
  • support people who use assistive technology
  • make information available for everyone
