If you requested a paperless bill, you should by now have received an e-mail about this – if you haven’t, please check your Spam folder or log on to
MyAccount to view your bill. If you need to contact us, please be aware that our telephone lines are busier than usual so there may be a delay in your call being answered. Alternatively, you can contact us using our online

Telephone calls demanding payment
We are aware that people are receiving telephone calls by someone claiming to be from Wakefield Council demanding money or court action will be taken. We do not make calls like this. Please do not give the caller your bank or card details.
We are aware of a scam where people are being telephoned, emailed or texted by someone claiming to be from Wakefield Council, saying they are due a Council Tax refund and asking for bank details.
Wakefield Council will not ask you for these details in this manner.
Please do not reply to these calls, emails or texts.
Council Tax bands
We are aware that a company is contacting people to tell them that their Council Tax band is wrong and are charging a fee to submit an appeal. You can
appeal against your Council Tax band for free.
