The Park has facilities for families to enjoy a brilliant day out in the fresh air. You can eat at our Boat House cafe or just grab an ice cream, or even bring your own picnic or BBQ (as long as it is off the ground).
The park has plenty of open spaces to play your own outdoor games, walk, cycle visit the play areas, ride on the miniature train, feed the birds.

We love seeing four legged friends at the park, but we do ask that their owners keep them on their leads and under control around other park users and wildlife. On muddier days why not treat your pouch to a clean at our famous "Dog Wash"
Pugneys Light Railway
Ride on our Miniature Railway, operated by a dedicated team of volunteers and open the general public on most weekends and Bank holidays. For more information follow them on

There are numerous walking routes around the park. The circular walk is 1.6 miles, or if you fancy stretching your legs why not walk up to the historical site of Sandal Castle [approx. an extra 2 miles return]
You can also download the free Love Exploring app to walk round the park discovering dinosaurs and find fairies!
Blown Away Adventure Trail
Our unique Blown Adventure Trail provide activities that provide a fun outdoor experience for all the family! The Trail is based on the story Blown Away written by local author Conrad Burdekin and illustrated by Lilian Fitchett.
Car parking is currently free for 2 hours. [Please get a free ticket from the machine to display]
Monday to Friday 7am – 9pm
Saturday to Sunday 8.30 am – 9pm
Our toilets are now open 9am - 4pm daily. You can also make enquiries, hire equipment here and buy bird feed.
Mobility Scooter hire is currently available
Adult and child tickets are available from reception however no overnight fishing is allowed. You are also required to have a valid rod licence in order to fish.
