Important Information

Due to extensive flooding and ground conditions of the overspill car park at Pugneys Country Park, access has been temporarily restricted to this area, therefore, car parking spaces are limited. 
Knee rail fencing has been installed to the existing car park boundary to prevent vehicles driving over the small grassed area between existing and overspill areas. 

If visitors see  car park  full sign’s displayed, then can we ask that  they do not park around the entrances or main roads  and that they consider finding an alternative park.

Following the recent announcement from the government on COVID-19, our parks and toilets remain open for residents to enjoy open spaces and the café will be serving takeaway food and drink.

The car park is now reopened with free parking until further notice but some amenities are closed until further notice.

The toilets are now open 9am - 4pm daily

Sat – Sun 8.30 am – 9pm

The Café is now open operating a sit in and take away service available from 9am-4pm [Food and Drinks social distancing is being observed.

Pugneys Light Railway - Currently Closed

Pugneys Light Railway is the scale miniature railway operating within Pugneys Country Park.

The railway is operated by a dedicated team of volunteers and open to the general public on most weekends and Bank holidays. For more information follow them on Facebook Pugneys Light Railway.

Pirates Cove Playground 

Pirates Cove Playground is now open. The equipment is cleaned prior to opening daily.

Pirates Cove gates open 9:30 am

Deep Clean 12:30 to 1pm

Gates reopen 12:30 to 4:30pm
