Apply to transfer from Year 2 in an infant school to a junior or primary school
For the school year starting in September 2021, the closing date for applications for transfer from Year 2 in an infant school to a junior or primary school is 15 January 2021. The online system opens for applications on 1 November 2020.
The online application system is for Wakefield residents only. If you are not a Wakefield resident, please contact the local authority where you live.
How to create an account and log in
Click on the button below to enter the online application system, then click on the 'Create Account' link at the top of the page and enter your details.
Keep a record of your password - you will need this to verify your account and to log in later, including to find out about your offer of a school place. We do not have access to your security information. If you forget your password, contact School Admissions and we will delete your account; you will then need to create a new account in order to complete your application.
Please ensure that the information you enter is correct - you are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your application. Supplying false or misleading information, or failing to advise School Admissions of any changes - including a change to your child’s address - may result in the offer of a school place being withdrawn.
You can find out about your offer of a school place from 12:30am on 16 April 2021 - log back into your account using your email address and password. We will also send you an email and a letter with details of your offer. Please note that we cannot give out any information over the phone regarding offers of school places.

- If you have previously made an application using the online application system, you can log back into your account using the same details and then add details of another child, along with your preferred schools.
- You can make changes to your application as many times as you like before you submit it. If you find that you need to make any changes after you have submitted it -including a change of address - please contact School Admissions.
It is your responsibility to apply for a school place for your child. The application must be made by someone with legal Parental Responsibility for the child.
All applications will be treated fairly and school places will be allocated in accordance with the relevant published admissions criteria. We take the issue of fraudulent applications very seriously; you are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your application.
