Wakefield District Local Plan 2036 Examination

Submission to the Secretary of State

The Wakefield District Local Plan 2036 was formally submitted to the Secretary of State on 4 May 2021 for independent examination.

The Planning Inspector

Katie Child BSc (Hons) MA MRTPI has been appointed by the Secretary of State as the Inspector.

Ms Child will conduct the examination to determine if the Wakefield Local Plan is legally compliant and sound by taking into consideration the supporting evidence provided by the council under criteria set out in paragraph 35 of the National Planning Policy Framework 2019 and all the representations made under Regulation 20.
