Speciality Markets 2021

The Speciality Markets Team are pleased to announce that we are bringing back our Speciality Markets for 2021.The Summer programme of dates is now available to book and we will release the Winter dates later in the year which will include our Christmas celebrations and Rhubarb Festival. We are currently looking to attract traders selling high quality, handcrafted and unique products and crafts which aren't readily available on the high street to create vibrant and varied markets across the Wakefield District and would like to invite you to be part of this new venture which we hope will grow into popular visitor attractions.

Fees

We are offering traders the opportunity to trade from one of our brand new 3m x 3m gazebos (one trestle table included) at an introductory fee of just £20 per gazebo for 2021. This fee is applicable to all of our Speciality Markets except for the Rhubarb Festival. Fees for this will be confirmed in due course.

Wakefield

Our Speciality Markets will be held on the pedestrian precinct in Wakefield city centre against the picturesque backdrop of Wakefield Cathedral.  The site is within easy reach of a number of city centre car parks, the railway stations and the bus station and close to Wakefield open market, The Ridings and Trinity Walk Shopping Centres. Why not also take advantage of paying a visit to the local market during your visit.

Our mission is to support local and regional independent creators to showcase and sell their distinctive merchandise by creating and operating vibrant, successful Speciality Markets.

Our traders are all super-talented and sell high quality, handcrafted and unique products and crafts which aren't readily available on the high street. This creates a Speciality Market offering a great key shopping experience within the West Yorkshire area for both traders and visitors alike and one which makes them want to return to.

Pontefract

Our Speciality Markets will be held on the pedestrian precinct in the heart of Pontefract Town centre within close proximity to The Buttercross, Pontefract Market Hall and the open market.  The site is within easy reach of a number of town centre car parks and the bus station. Why not also take advantage of paying a visit to the local market hall during your visit.
