Welcome to Wakefield Adult Education Service

Good News – we would like to announce the arrival of our new brochure for the start of the new academic in September 2021.

Our provision offers a range of courses from complete beginners to more advanced level courses and a choice of different ways to learn. In the classroom, online or via distance learning, we really do have something for everyone. Whether you want to learn new skills for work or well-being, improve your career prospects or just need to relax and make new friends, we can help you.

Please get in touch with our dedicated team for more information.  We are here to support your enrolment, offer you advice and guidance on any queries and to support you in finding the right course to help you to enhance your existing skills, learn new ones or to support your current wellbeing. 

Please also ask for details about Fee Remission if you are unemployed or employed low waged (Under £25,700 gross per annum).  Please ask about financial support around travel, resources or childcare expenses, we may be able to help you.

Online learning

We are offering FREE online Level 2 Certificate courses. We have over 25 courses in a wide range of subjects from Customer Service, Business Administration and Team Leading to Safe Handling of Medication, Care Planning and Nutrition and health.  

These on line courses are not affected by any social distance guidance as they are delivered fully on line and no classroom time is required.  If you are interested in our online learning offer then please contact Lauren Rose Tel 0739 162 2948 or email:

Distance Learning

Why not try one of our distance learning packs.  You can do these packs from home with support from one of our Tutors, give us a call for further details. You can choose from the following subjects:  Bookkeeping Level 1 or Level 2, Accounting Level 1, Customer Services Level 1, Personal Development for Employment and CV building.
