Blind or Disabled Person’s Travel Pass


Due to the current situation with coronavirus there could be potential delays in processing disabled person’s travel applications submitted by post. If you can, please apply online at, This could prevent any delay.

The quickest and easiest way to apply for Concessionary Travel Bus Pass for disabled people is through the Metro website.


Alternatively you can:

  1. Download, complete and sign an application form
  2. Attach any supporting documentation, for example, proof of qualifying benefit or supporting evidence of disability. Failure to provide this evidence will delay your application. More information including medical evidence forms  
  3. Attach a passport-type photograph not more than 2 years old. Print your name and address on the back. This is non-returnable
  4. Post it to Blue Badge, PO Box 700, Wakefield One, WF1 2EB

If you meet the conditions, a concessionary travel pass will be issued. Applications can take up to four weeks to process. If you don't include all of the necessary information your application will be delayed.

This bus pass application is not for a senior travel pass

If you are of state pension age you may apply for a senior pass at the Metro Office in bus stations or from any post office.
