Any venue used for the solemnisation of civil marriages and the registration of civil partnerships must be approved by the Local Authority, under the
Marriages and Civil Partnerships (Approved Premises) Regulations 2005.

How to make an application

Public Register of Approved Venues
You can view the
Public Register of Approved Premises online. Alternatively, a public register of all approved premises is held at Pontefract Registration Office and is available for inspection during office hours. Please see our
