Families are being invited to come and enjoy a whole load of fun this summer at Wakefield Museums.
The Council is holding various free activities for people of all ages including 'Spot the Sunglasses' challenge which encourages families to search for three hidden pairs of sunglasses at Wakefield, Castleford and Pontefract Museums.
There is also a chance for residents to pick up a family bag and get involved in activities such as:
• Riding the rhubarb express at Wakefield Museum
• Creating a rainbow of colours at Pontefract Museum
• Having a tea party or trying on miners clogs at Castleford Museum
• Getting creative to make something to take away.
Cllr Les Shaw, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Sport, said: "We know sometimes it can be difficult to entertain the kids over summer. These fun filled events will be perfect to keep the kids happy over their school break with something happening for everyone.
"So why not come down to your local museum, get crafty and enjoy the packed day of activities."
Other activities include free drop-in workshops to create mosaic's and sculptures, glass painting and even get crafty making puppets.
