Wakefield Council is giving local residents, that have not used the City of Wakefield Golf Course before, the chance to play for only £1.
The round for a pound programme offers a game of 7, 12 or 18 holes at the City of Wakefield Golf Club between Monday June 9 to Sunday June 15. The course is suitable for new golfers and offers a welcoming varied experience and includes facilities such as:
• On site fully Qualified member of the Professional Golf
Association (PGA) for advice & Lessons
• Buggy Hire
• Practice Areas
• Clubhouse with bar and catering facilities
The offer is available from 6:30am to 8:00pm between Monday and Friday and Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1pm.
Cllr David Dagger, Cabinet member for Culture, Sport and Libraries said: "This is a great incentive for people who may not have played Golf before to come and have a go. We welcome people of all abilities to enjoy this sport."
The club is situated close to junction 40 of the M1 motorway. This parkland course has a great character and is beautifully set within the ground of the 18th century Lupset Hall.
